Chicken Biryani Recipe
Using our Adraki Bhuna Cooking Sauce, this chicken biryani couldn’t be easier! Using authentic flavours, this is a guaranteed family favourite plus it’s easier to cook than you think!
Ingredients
400g diced chicken
1 packet Kohinoor Adraki Bhuna Sauce
2 tsp oil
40g fried onion
20g chopped coriander
20g chopped mint
200g Kohinoor Extra Flavour Basmati rice
ΒΌ g saffron
1 tsp oil
20g butter
5g salt
400 ml water
4 boiled eggs
Method
- In a large pan, heat the oil and sautee the chicken until it’s browned
- Add the Kohinoor Adraki Bhuna Sauce and simmer until the chicken is cooked through
- Wash and soak the Kohinoor basmati rice in lukewarm water for 30 minutes
- Soak the saffron in 5 tablespoons of hot water
- Heat the oil and butter in a thick bottomed pan
- Drain the rice and add to the pan with the salt, boiling water, and saffron water
- Cook on medium heat until the water is absorbed and holes form on the surface of the rice
- Cover with a kitchen towel and place a lid on the pan. Allow the rice to steam for 6 minutes. When ready, use a fork to separate the rice and make it fluffy
- Layer the chicken bhuna and rice in alternate layers and serve with fried onions, chopped coriander, mint, and a boiled egg.
