Grilled Tofu Skewers

These grilled tofu skewers are light, tasty and super easy to make. Perfect for a vegan alternative at a BBQ or a low-calorie & low-carb mid week meal!

  • Kohinoor Butter Chicken sauce
  • Wooden skewers
  • Tofu – 600 grams
  • Red pepper
  • Green pepper
  • Yellow pepper
  • Large red onion
  • Red chilli powder – 1/4tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/4tsp
  • Garam masala – 1/4tsp
  • Chopped coriander
  • Cooking oil – 2tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Coconut milk – 50ml


Soak the wooden skewers in water for 10 mins.

Make a marinade by mixing chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt, chopped coriander and oil.

Cut the tofu, all the peppers and onions into 1 inch cubes.

Wrap the tofu in kitchen paper towels to remove excess moisture, add the marinade to coat all the tofu and vegetables.

Make the skewers by alternating peppers, onions and tofu.

Heat a grill pan or any heavy pan, add some oil and grill the skewers making sure to get a good colour on the tofu and vegetables.

Heat the Kohinoor Butter Chicken Sauce adding coconut milk.

Serve the skewers with this sauce.
