
One Pot Chicken Rice
Simple, convenient and packed with flavour this easy-to-cook one pot chicken rice is bound to become a mid-week family favourite. Ideal for cooking on a budget, this meal serves 4 and comes in at less than a tenner and any left-overs can be packed up and saved for lunch the next day!

Ingredients
- Kohinoor Karahi sauce – 1 packet
- Cooking oil – 2 tablespoons
- Diced chicken – 500 grams
- Chopped coriander leaves – 2 tablespoons
- Kohinoor basmati rice – 250 grams
- Cumin seeds -1/4 tablespoon
- Salt – 5 grams
- Boiling water – 400 ml
method
Add rice and water to pan and boil until cooked.
Take a heavy pan with lid, heat oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds. Once you hear the crackle, add the diced chicken.
Stir fry until the pieces have a light brown colour, add the Kohinoor Karahi sauce, bring to boil.
Add the cooked rice to the pot.
Cover with kitchen paper towels with the pan lid and reduce the heat to low. Allow to steam for 10 minutes, and stir the rice with a fork to make it fluffy.
Serve the one pot chicken rice with a sprinkle of chopped coriander leaves.
