Slow Cooked Beef Jalfrezi Tacos
Slow cooked beef jalfrezi tacos are ideal finger-food for parties and gatherings. The beef is so tender and succulent and the sauce is rich and bursting with rich Indian flavours. This fusion dish is sure to go down a treat with guests and become a family favourite you cook again and again!

Ingredients
- Kohinoor Jalfrezi sauce – 1packet
- Beef brisket or topside – 750gms
- Cooking oil – 02tsp
- Salt – 5gms
- Chilli powder – 1gm
- Garam masala – 2gms
- Ginger and garlic paste – 30gms
- Red bell pepper (cut into long thin strips) – 1
- Green bell pepper (cut into long thin strips) – 1 Sliced Onion – 1
- Small Tortillas – 16
- Chopped white onions – 2
- Chopped coriander leaves – 3tbsps
- Lime cut into wedges – 2
method
Make criss-cross cuts on the surface of the beef.
Marinate the beef with a mix of oil, salt, chilli powder, garam masala and ginger garlic paste.
Keep for 2-3 hours to marinate.
Arrange the beef on a baking tray add 400ml of water and cover with aluminium foil. Cook for one and a half hours in a preheated oven at 170 degrees centigrade.
Remove from oven, add the Kohinoor Jalfrezi sauce, sliced onions, bell peppers, cover with aluminium foil and cook for a further 1-1.5 hours.
Remove the beef when its fully cooked and allow to cool.
Remove the sauce and the cooked vegetables into a pan, cook to thicken the sauce,
Shred the cooked beef and mix with sauce.
Warm the tortillas, fill with the beef mix, top with chopped onions and coriander, serve hot with lime wedges.
