Spicy Masala Cottage Pie

  • Kohinoor Kolhapuri Masala Sauce – 1 pack
  • Beef mince – 400gms
  • Fine chopped onion – 1
  • Fine chopped carrot – 1
  • Cooking oil – 2tbsps

For Mash potato:

  • Diced potato – 500gms
  • Double cream – 100ml
  • Butter – 30gms
  • Grated Cheddar cheese – 50gms
  • Salt – 1tsp
  • Chopped fresh coriander – 2tbsps


Heat oil in a large saucepan, sauté the chopped onion and carrots.

Mix in the beef mince and stir-fry until the mince is well browned.

Add the Kohinoor Kolhapuri Masala Sauce and bring to a boil, cook for 10-15 minutes, add 1tbsp of chopped coriander and adjust the seasoning.

Allow to cool.

In another saucepan boil the diced potatoes adding some salt. Drain and mash.

Mix in the double cream, butter, grated cheese and chopped coriander, adjust seasoning.

Use a baking dish and layer the cooked mince, top with the cheesy potato mash, making sure the mince is fully covered.

Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees centigrade for 25-30 minutes.
