Indian Style Gyros

Our Indian‑Style Gyros features a bold fusion of street‑food flair and Indian tradition. Succulent strips of seasoned chicken breast, generously coated in Kohinoor Bhuna Cooking Sauce topped with a homemade Greek style Tzatziki, chips and fresh salad.

Ingredients

  • Kohinoor Bhuna sauce – 1 pack
  • Boneless Chicken thighs cut into strips – 600g
  • Flat Greek style pitta – 4
  • Salt – ½ tsp
  • Paprika powder – ¼ tsp
  • Oregano – ¼ tsp
  • Cooking oil – 2 tbsp
  • Red onion sliced – 1
  • Lettuce leaves – 40g
  • Tomato slices – 8

For Tzatziki:

  • Greek Yoghurt – 250g
  • Cucumber – 1
  • Finely grated garlic clove – 1
  • Finely chopped dill – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – ½ tsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Olive oil – 1 tbsp

method

To make the Tzatziki, wash and grate the cucumber, squeeze to remove excess moisture. Mix in the yoghurt, garlic, chopped dill, lemon juice, olive oil and salt.

Heat oil in a pan and stir fry the chicken strips on high heat for a couple of minutes, then mix in the Kohinoor Bhuna sauce. Cook for 8-10 mins or until the chicken is fully cooked through. Ensure the sauce has thickened and has fully coated the chicken.

To assemble gyros: warm the pitta, spread the tzatziki on the pitta, add the cooked chicken mix, lettuce leaves, sliced red onion, sliced tomato and sprinkle the oregano and paprika powder.

Serve as an open sandwich or wrap to enjoy like a gyro.
