These Crispy Paneer Steaks are a showstopping vegetarian centrepiece — golden, breadcrumb-coated paneer steaks served with Kohinoor's light, fragrant Coconut Moilee sauce for a restaurant-quality dish that's ready in just 30 minutes.

Kohinoor Keralan Coconut Moilee sauce – 1 packet
Paneer Block – 600 grams
Corn-starch – 2 tablespoons
Flour – 2 tablespoons
Panko/White breadcrumbs – 200 grams
Cooking oil
Salt – to taste
Chilli powder – 1 gram
Chopped coriander – 1 tablespoon

Method

Slice the paneer in 1/2 cm slices and cut into large rectangles and marinate the paneer with salt and chilli powder.
Make a thick batter by mixing corn-starch, flour and water.
Dip the marinated paneer in this batter and cover it with panko or white breadcrumbs.
Heat oil in a frying pan and pan fry the breaded slices of paneer until they get a golden colour on both sides.
Heat the Kohinoor Coconut Curry sauce in a saucepan, bring to a boil and add chopped coriander.
Serve your crispy paneer steaks with Kohinoor Basmati rice.
