Mumbai:
From the region of Mumbai (formerly Bombay), is India’s largest city. On the Mumbai Harbour waterfront stands the iconic Gateway of India stone arch, built by the British Raj in 1924. Offshore, nearby Elephanta Island holds ancient cave temples dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. The city’s also famous as the heart of the Bollywood film industry.

Lovely and tasty fiery sauce with a flavour unlike any other I have purchased in supermarkets.

How to use cooking sauce

Easy & effortlessly authentic

  1. Step 1

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan and stir-fry 500g of your chosen protein, such as chicken breast, beef, lamb or a vegetarian alternative.

  2. Step 2

Once the protein is lightly browned, add the contents of the pouch and stir well. Cover and simmer until your chosen protein is cooked through (approximately 20 minutes).

  3. Step 3

Let the sauce thicken to your liking. For extra richness, add a knob of butter and 50ml of double cream, then garnish with freshly chopped coriander. Serve with Kohinoor Basmati Rice for the perfect mid-week meal.
